On 22 January, as the Chinese New Year holiday neared, Check-in Asia’s Gary Bowerman was invite by Singapore-based CNA (Channel News Asia) to discuss the rapidly spreading coronavirus outbreak.
In a broad-ranging interview, Gary was asked questions about the potential impact for the tourism sector in China, across Asia and worldwide during and after the Chinese New Year Golden Week.
This was Gary’s second appearance in CNA in recent months. In October 2019, he appeared on the CNA evening news show to discuss the permanent ban on tourists climbing Uluru in Australia, and other issues relating to sustainable Asia Pacific.
